It's officially camping season and I'm almost as excited for that as I am at the start of each ski season (almost). I recently wrote a piece for Outside Online about seven unique campgrounds worth checking out this summer, places that have lovely spots to pitch a tent but also offer extra amenities like food trucks, outdoor movie nights, stargazing centers, sushi bars, and more.
Full disclosure: One of these campgrounds happens to be of extra importance to me. My sister and her husband are in the process of opening a brand new campground in my hometown, Nevada City, California, called the Inn Town Campground. It'll have tent sites, RV hookups, and glamping tents and the grand opening is slated for this July. They've put a ton of work into getting this place off the ground and I, for one, can't wait to see it come together.
