NPR Interview on Mount Whitney Catastrophe

I recently wrote a story for Outside Online about a tragic accident I witnessed on the high elevations on Mount Whitney, the highest peak in the Lower 48, and about the broader implications of what happens when inexperienced climbers are dead set on reaching the summit.

I spoke to a local NPR station about my experiences and why more injuries and accidents are happening on bucket-list style peaks like Mount Whitney and the Colorado 14ers. You can listen to my interview here.
